"Switzerland & the Holocaust Assets" on the Web
(September 1997) - Switzerland is badly shaken and going through an identity crisis, following accusations against its government and banks for the role they played during and after World War Two. New revelations, criticism and accusations come up every day, relayed by the world press.
A new Web site now gives a global and comprehensive picture of the issues at hand.
"Switzerland & the Holocaust Assets" is the most complete reference site on the subject. Since its launch online in June it has already registered over 2000 visits per week.
A timeline of the events is updated daily as well as a selection of articles from the Swiss and international press.
Links to all the official Web sites of governments, organizations and parties involved can be found here, as well as links to resources on the history of the Second World War, an index of the most important documents released and a basic bibiography.
"Switzerland & the Holocaust Assets" is an independent and non-profit electronic publication. It's edited by Bruno Giussani, an Editor with L'Hebdo magazine in Switzerland and an Internet columnist with the New York Times Web site.
